Wind through the Walls is a jumping puzzle located in the northeastern edge of Old Kaineng. Except for the entrance to the puzzle, it is surrounded by invisible walls. Finding the entrance may be the first part of the puzzle.
Getting there
The entrance is near the start of the rope bridge about halfway east of the harbinger mentor Yuryong, and west of 
Jade Brotherhood Hideout — , in the northeastern corner of New Kaineng City.
Mechanics
- Gliding and the Jade Bot Glide Booster are allowed, but mounts are not.
- The Grand Jade Tech Chest at the end does not require a Jade Bot with energy charges to open, unlike normal Jade Tech Chests.
- There are no checkpoints in this jumping puzzle. It can be completed by using Teleport to Friend when a party member is at the chest.
- Four Celestial Plaques can be found and read during the jumping puzzle. No achievement is associated with them.
Walkthrough
Spoiler alert: The hidden text contains spoilers relating to the solution to the Wind through the Walls jumping puzzle.

- The objective is to reach the chest that is at the top of Old Kaineng near the ghost of Nika.
- From the entrance of the jumping puzzle, keep left and jump three times to reach the ledge with a strong gust of wind blowing on it.
- Jump to the ledge with the strong gust of wind. Time it so it doesn't hit you.
- Jump to the next pillar. Don't walk too far. There is another spot where the wind will blow you off.
- Move past the spot and jump straight to the next ledge. Walk to the grassy plateau.
- Jump from the ledge sticking out at the right side of the plateau to the right ledge of the pillar.
- Jump around the pillar and time your next jump across to the ledge so that the gust of wind will not hit you. Then jump to next grassy plateau.
- From the grassy platform, climb up along the left wall, onto another ledge. Jump onto the next pillar (facing north). The next jump requires timing, as the middle part of the jump has wind blowing on it.
Time your hops and make your way onto the ledge facing east. Follow the ledge, then turn left and jump along the wall onto the pillars and turn right, then continue straight east.
- Jump around the corner of the building with a Celestial Plaque then follow a series of ledges with a few jumps and some wind traps, which will take you to the other side of the building with the plaque.
- Follow the next ledge due east and make two jumps around the next corner. Be careful here as there is another wind trap here so time your corner jump accordingly.
- This next phase can be done very quickly with a shortcut if you have Glide Booster (tier 1 is sufficient). You want to get to the next set of ledges where the next Celestial Plaque is.
- If you can boost glide, go straight east across the gap, and then boost up and glide over to the next ledge.
- If you don’t have a glide booster, glide down to the ledge on the level below. Jump around the corner, follow the ledge, then make a few jumps up and around the pillar to lead you to a series of upward ledges which will take you up to the structure.
- No matter which way you went, you’ll end up on more horizontal ledges which you can just follow (east, south, west, south, then east again) until a series of 3 jumps on smaller ledges against the wall (the wall will be to your right).
- Turn right, and make a series of jump hugging the wall to your right. Jump onto some grassy rocks, then turn right, climb up more grassy rocks, then jump or glide down to the next leaning pillar.
- Follow the pillar up and you’ll see a wind trap in front of you. It doesn’t seem possible to jump onto the rocks that the wind is blowing onto. Instead, take a long jump to the right (if you miss it there is a slight ledge you can stand on) and then continue up along the wall onto the next large grassy area.
- This next area has a number of normal and veteran enemies. You don’t have to kill all of them before going on with your jumping, but some of them may target you from the ground causing you to miss jumps so watch out for them.
Climb onto a series of leaning pillars and make your way to another section of ledges. Watch out for two wind traps while going up.
- Turn left then right, and go west along the wall. Next you need to jump around the corner to the right, to end up facing north. For that corner, you can jump or glide around.
- Head north and jump onto a pillar and a ledge. Take a series of jumps to climb along the wall.
- The next jump requires timing, as the diagonal pillar you jump onto has a wind trap. Do two small jumps, avoiding the gust of wind, and then follow the ledge up and then jump and turn left to get onto the top of the structure.
- Make your way around the final level of ledges (doing a sort of U trajectory), while keeping an eye out for several wind traps which can blow you off the ledge.
- After crossing the last wind trap, jump forward and then to the left. From there, you can climb up the green steps (hugging the wall to your left) and jump/glide down to the right to the ledge behind the pillar.
- Finally, take two jumps to the right and climb up the small ledges along the wall. Turn right at the top on the platform to reach the chest and the end of the jumping puzzle.
Note: the first jump may look like it’s too high, but your character will just make it onto the ledge. Aim to the right side of the ledge.

- As of the February 28th, 2023 update, the end reward chest is limited to once per account per day.
- Since VoE expansion, there is a very occurence where this chest becomes unlootable for all characters on account.
