- As it was unclear whether they were demons,[2] nightmares,[3] or Void, Twisted Skelk were considered to be of an unknown race during What Lies Beneath and Deep Research, as per a statement by Narrative Director Bobby Stein.[4] With the release of What Lies Within, they were confirmed to be demons by an objective within the Emotional Release story step.[1]
