Zalisco is a plant grown exclusively by the Hylek, whose use and distribution they keep highly guarded. The plant is extremely toxic to races other than the Hylek, and its extract is used as a poison to great effect.

The Hazupl tribe, known for their alchemical knowledge, are one of the few Hylek tribes that can raise, extract, and use Zalisco effectively. The plant is an integral ingredient in the near-mythical ancient Hylek potion the "Eye of the Sun", which purports to turn the imbiber into an avatar of the sun.
