Stefan Baruch was an Ascalonian human warrior, who worked as a henchman. He was a member of the group that escorted Prince Rurik across the Shiverpeak Mountains, and later went on to play a part in aiding the Shining Blade, meeting with the dragon prophet Glint, and battling the Stone Summit dwarves. He left the group after being tricked into a drinking game by Kilroy Stonekin.

He later returned to his homeland of Ascalon, and was killed by the Foefire in 1090 AE. Now, his spirit resides in the ruins of Grendich Courthouse, guarding one of the last Diessa Chalices.
