No. They were studying her. I mean, what if you could replicate her? What if you could grow a plant that increased your ability to reason? Unfortunately, they added to her megalomania.

During The Nightmares Within

I wish I could explore the tower myself, but these spores have my direction sense all befuddled. They better be documenting this properly.

What's happening in the tower?

I'm unsure. They finally got in. That's all I know. Whatever's causing this toxic bloom of hallucinogenic spores has to be destroyed. I hope someone is up to the task.

Best we can tell, it's nightmarish plant. The tower is supporting it as it grows. That explains why these Nightmare courtiers were willing to work with krait—and vice versa.
