- Before being hired by ArenaNet, Marks was a Guild Wars 2 streamer, content creator and ArenaNet Partner best known for his WvW and GvG content.
- Roy and Royal Marks are named after him.
- During Extra Life 2022, Marks shaved his head (along with Cal Cohen and Raymond Lukes) as an incentive for donations.
- During Extra Life 2023, Marks shaved his head (again) as an incentive for donations.
- During Extra Life 2023, Roy played Tyler Kohen, a fire wizard obsessed with balance in the TinyD6 campaign, which is non-canon.
