Maclaine Diemer

Maclaine Diemer is the lead composer for Guild Wars 2. He has contributed to most of the musical pieces in major updates and expansions, starting from Shadow of the Mad King in 2012.
He was also the leading charge in creating new themes and songs for the Living World Season 1, Season 2, Season 3, Season 4 as well as Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire expansions.
In April 2019 he left ArenaNet to pursue other projects, though still heavily contributes music to Guild Wars 2.[1][2] In 2021, he returned to ArenaNet to write music for the End of Dragons expansion as the lead composer.[3] In 2023, he also wrote music for the Secrets of the Obscure expansion.[4]
Notable work
- Provided the male vocals for the reimagination of Fear Not This Night, that was released with the "Guild Wars 2 Living World Season 4 Episode 2 A Bug in the System Trailer" and the full version later released on SoundCloud titled "Fear Not This Night 2018"[5]
