Redreave Mill is the best mill in the district. I was born here, right over by those barrels. They sent me off to the fahrar, but I came back. Because of my fahrar training, they made me be a supervisor.

You don't like being a supervisor?

I'd rather be the one who waterproofs lumber with tar, but they say I'm overqualified because of my fahrar training. But think—how much wood could a fahrar charr tar if a fahrar charr could tar wood?
