The Helpful Friend is an NPC found outside the Frozen Waterfall in front of the second checkpoint in Storm Top. He informs players that the Candle is too weak to melt the ice blocking the way to the checkpoint.

Notes
- This NPC was originally referred to "Villager" overhead, even though the chatbox showed them as "Helpful Friend". This was later corrected in 2017 to have his overhead names match his names in chat.
