Gaeting Crystals are a currency obtained from raid encounters in the most recent expansion, currently Visions of Eternity. Upon the release of a new expansion, all collected Gaeting Crystals are converted to Magnetite Shards, and the vendors are changed to accept the converted currency.
There is a weekly cap of 150 Gaeting Crystals directly from the encounter reward. Extra shards above the cap can be acquired from Challenge Mode rewards, by trading in raid dropped minis to raid vendors, and salvaging ascended raid drops.

- Rewarded for unsuccessful attempts based on the progression in the fight.
- 1 shard below 75% boss health.
- 3 shards total below 50% boss health.
- 5 shards total below 25% boss health.
- Rewarded for successfully completing raid encounters:

- Rewarded for killing bosses with the Challenge mode (CM) activated (10 each). (once per boss per week)

- Trading raid-exclusive miniatures from the current expansion (e.g. Mini Kela) to raid vendors (40 each).[verification requested]
