Autoconfirmed users are a user group with certain privileges.
Requirements
Only registered accounts can become autoconfirmed. There are two requirements:
- The account must be 72 hours old.
- The user must save 15 edits to any page.
To satisfy the second requirement, many users simply edit their userpage multiple times.
Privileges
Autoconfirmed users gain the following privileges over non-autoconfirmed and anonymous users. Autoconfirmed users can:
- Edit semi-protected pages.
- Move (rename) articles and files.
- Perform CAPTCHA-triggering actions without having to go through the CAPTCHA.
In addition, autoconfirmed users are ignored by most of the wiki's AbuseFilter rules.
