Mechanics

• Requires using 3 skills within its radius to upgrade its follow-up skill from its Lesser version.
• Allies are not affected by the pulsing benefit within the radius; only the elementalist is affected by it.
  • Allies, however, can use the associated combo field.

• Raging Storm — Critically striking a foe grants fury. Gain ferocity while under the effects of fury.
• Aeromancer's Training — Gain ferocity, and gain additional ferocity while attuned to air. Air weapon skills get a reduced recharge time.

Trivia

• As with all the Etchings, Etching: Derecho is named for a real-life phenomenon. Derechos are windstorms that cause hurricane-force winds, heavy rain and flash floods.
• This Etching has New Krytan text in its symbol that contains the following:
  • Inner Ring: Its dark clouds will bind you don't look don't run.
  • Middle Ring: Flashing light cracks through the sky like emerging crystals under the sun.
  • Outer Ring: No fear an unstoppable force unpredictable taking those who can't move with it.

Bug:

If you use   Elemental Celerity and cast a second Etching field shortly after using the first one, both fields will disappear simultanioulsy when the first one disappears, leaving you with a much shorter second field. Depending on the timing, sometimes, the field just disappears visually, but is still there. This is also the case for the other three fields

February 11, 2025	Fixed an issue that prevented etchings from being able to be charged after a certain duration. Fixed an issue that prevented etchings from being charged when multiple etchings existed at once.
August 20, 2024	Janthir Wilds release: Etching: Derecho has been added to the game. Etching skills will now put their corresponding lesser skill on a short cooldown to prevent unintentional usage. Increased all etching durations from 5 seconds to 7 seconds. The visual effects of Jökulhlaup, Derecho, and Haboob will no longer be replaced by legendary effects.
