There are four rarities of Dragon Chest; fine, masterwork, rare, and exotic.

Acquisition

The quality of the chest depends on the degree of success of the meta event:

  • Event occurs up to 3 times during Defeat Tequatl the Sunless. The quality of the chest awarded is determined by what Tequatl's health was at when the event began:
    • 75% health = CFine
    • 50% health = DMasterwork
    • 25% health = ERare

  • Kill = FExotic

Notes

• This item was added to the game with the September 17th, 2013 update, as part of the Tequatl Rising release.
• Dragon Chest containers must be opened by a level 45 character or higher to receive the full content of each container.
• Exotic Dragon Chest is limited to once per day per account; all other rarities can be acquired multiple times.
• Dragon Chest containers cannot be opened in the PvP Lobby.
