Chairs are a type of Novelty that, when activated, make the character sit on a chair.
Most chairs can only be used in areas where mounts are permitted (with the exception of WvW), making them unavailable in most instanced content, including the home instance. Victory Rock is the only exception.
Mechanics
- Using a chair grants the Resting in Chair effect.
- Emotes that work while sitting on world objects or decoration chairs cannot be used while seated on novelty chairs.
- The following chairs allow the character to move while seated: Inquest Overseer Chair, Jade Tech Chair, Meandering Tortoise Chair, Wandering Cloud Chair, Skysteel Chair, Personal Gyrocopter Chair, and Dance Platform Chair.
- Unlike other chairs, Victory Rock can be used in locations where mounts are normally unavailable, including World versus World, home instances, story instances, lounges, raids, fractals, and the Mistlock Observatory.
