The welfare of krait and hylek are of minor concern. But any sort of instability in the status quo warrants our attention.

Why is that a concern?

The fewer alarums and excursions there are in the world, the more we can focus our efforts on the real enemies. Uncertainty is a bane to us, but a boon to the Elder Dragons.

Still, that's an odd reason to hope for peace.
