Aberrant are corrupted creatures allied with the Elder Dragon Jormag. Though their exact nature is unclear, they can be seen to be summoned via ritual by a Svanir Necromancer using Vigil captives within Ravenfrost Caverns. The Vigil necromancer Lessandro seems to view their creation as a particularly abhorrent act of necromancy.[1] They have a green aura, indicating an Essence of Valor, making them weak against the Fallen Essence of Resilience.

Trivia
- Aberrant enemies drop essence orbs of Valor, which bear the likeness of Wolverine, one of the lost Spirits of the Wild.
- Many Aberrant hold some visual similarities to Vaettir, a subgroup of bestial Nightmares in Guild Wars: Eye of the North located in the Far Shiverpeaks. There is no known relation, however.
