Blood and Madness is a Halloween-themed festival that was launched on October 15, 2013, and ended on November 11, 2013. The celebration brings many seasonal events and activities in Lion's Arch. During the festival, the barriers separating Tyria from the Underworld start to weaken, resulting in many paranormal phenomena, and the arrival of the Mad King Thorn, who opens the doors to the Mad Realm to all of the festival visitors.
