Champion Risen Plague Carriers are extremely deadly Risen that are rarely encountered during the event Kill the Corrupted High Priestess, and sometimes encountered during the event Defeat Tequatl the Sunless. Appeared to spawn at Altar of Lies or around Splintered Coast during an active event, they explode upon close contact, instantly downing players at close range, unless countered by blocking or dodging before they explode.

Notes
- Upon exploding, Champion Risen Plague Carriers have been reportedly known to inflict over 25,000 in damage on level 64-65, and over 40,000 in damage on level 78.
- Even as a champion, they don't have a lot of health like the lesser Risen Plague Carriers, and can be killed quickly before exploding.
- Champion Risen Plague Carrier may explode more than once until its health is depleted.
