Vigil Emissary Chest

The Vigil Emissary Chest is a chest that can be found inside the Eye of the North next to the Vigil Emissary. The chest can only be looted once a week per account, and it resets weekly. Opening it requires 20, 40, or 60 Magnetite Shards. The chest will always ask for the highest amount of shards the player can afford at the moment.

Hums and Echoes

The chest has 5 small orbs hovering above it. Each is labeled and signals if certain raid encounters have been completed.
Lighting up each orb will add an extra container drop from the Emissary Chest, allowing an extra roll on loot from the respective raid encounter
- The quality of containers depends on the amount of shards spent, with 20 shards spent for Faint Echo containers, 40 shards for Echo and 60 shards for Strong Echo containers.
Opening the chest will result in all "Echo" orbs resetting back to "Hum" orbs. If you complete any strike again after opening the weekly chest, you will again receive "Echo" next week.
Orbs will initially be labeled as "Hum" and will light up if the corresponding raid encounter has been completed since the last time you opened the chest, after which they will become labeled "Echo".
- Steel Hum/Echo — Hum will upgrade to Echo after finishing Forging Steel raid encounter.
- Raven Hum/Echo — Hum will upgrade to Echo after finishing Sanctum Arena raid encounters: Voice of the Fallen and Claw of the Fallen, Fraenir of Jormag, or Boneskinner.
- Cold Hum/Echo — Hum will upgrade to Echo after finishing Cold War raid encounter.
- Shiverpeaks Hum/Echo — Hum will upgrade to Echo after finishing Shiverpeaks Pass raid encounter.
- Whisper Hum/Echo — Hum will upgrade to Echo after finishing Whisper of Jormag raid encounter.
