What Was Before

What Was Before is an achievement in Inner Nayos: Citadel of Zakiros. It is unlocked after completing Chapter 17: Desperate Measures in Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure. The achievement requires you to find relics of the past to remember Kryptis history.

Search Inner Nayos for the relics that hint at the past.Sounds like we need some kind of astral herald to spread these learnings from Inner Nayos. Title: The Venerable Reward: Relic of Mosyn Objectives: 11 objectives in total Speak with Tecla the Venerable at the forward bivouac. Etched Tablet: East from Mourning's Shade, past the stairs where dreams begin their ascent, under gnarled crimson roots. Petulant Cutting Stone: Between extractors, where Bleeding Wastes meet gray skies. Dream Essence: High above the pools of Mourning's Shade. Cursed Fabric: High on the rocks of the central Commons, staring down on the forward bivouac. Imitating Chalice: On the western rim above the Old Settlement's founding fort. Dream Essence: In the Old Settlement's southern grasslands, near stones bathed in starlight. Baleful Glass: South of Nyedra's coliseum, where limbs reach west toward Zakiros. Vexed Urn: Central in Nyedra Surrounds, with a view of the fortress to the south. Dream Essence: In northeast Defiled Cradle, where Eventide's bridge once marched east to Mourning's Shade. ... • After completing Chapter 17. Desperate Measures, you will be able to talk to Tecla the Venerable near  Forward Bivouac Waypoint — .
• Tecla will ask you to go to various locations to collect ancient Kryptis relics.
• Upon getting close (~3000 units) to the location of any of the relics, you will gain the special action skill   Relic Search. Using the skill will point towards the location of the relic.
• Using the skill by to the correct location (within ~1000 units), or approaching while channeling it, four Loyalist Relic Guardians will appear, connected to the shrouded relic.
• After killing the guardians, it will reveal the relic and allow it to be collected.

Notes

• You might have to relog or talk to the NPC again to get the special action key to work.
• Uncovering a relic will allow all players on the collection to also collect it.
