[[Verarium Delves (jumping puzzle)|Verarium Delves]] is a [[jumping puzzle]] within [[Sparkfly Fen]]. This short puzzle features some climbing and a few jumps.

== Getting there ==
From {{waypoint|Ocean's Gullet Waypoint}}, head northwest into the cave just north of {{point of interest|Nicantl Grounds}}. Follow the cave west, past some [[Cave Spider]]s, to the {{map icon|hero challenge}}[[Veteran Hylek Chief]]. At the hero challenge, turn south and follow the cave past some [[Vampire Bat]]s, where it emerges into an open plateau with a stream running northeast along its south edge.

Staying close to the western cliffs, head south towards the stream, looking for some grassy stone pillars just below the waterfall. Jump across them, entering another cave on the far side. Follow it south and then west, past more Vampire Bats, until you emerge just north of {{vista|Orvanic Cliffs Vista}}. Jump across a gap to the next flat rock south of you, with a [[Tropical Bird]] on it. Drop down to the ledge where the vista is, then head west again, dropping off the vista ledge. Keep heading west into the green foliage there, which conceals the cave entrance.

== Walkthrough ==

Enter the cave and walk up the stairs straight ahead of you. Continue until the ledge before the next raised platform. Jump across: it's easiest from the south corner, in front of the pillar. If you fall, climb back up the rubble to your left, optionally climbing all the way up to the top floor to make the jump easier. Speed boosts like {{swiftness}} and {{superspeed}} also make this jump easier.

Once on the middle platform, jump up the boulder to the south (below a pillar), and then onto the short pillar against the south edge of the cave. Jump west from the pillar onto the sloping rock beside the stone-walled building at the end of the cave. Climb the slope and jump north onto the top of that building. Jump onto the low stone wall to the east, overlooking the rest of the ruins. From there, jump down onto the northernmost pillar in the cluster of 3 (''not'' the isolated pillar on the north side of the cave).

From the pillar, jump west onto the crumbling wall that blocks the archway into the building. Standing on that wall, look south for a hole in the interior wall: jump across into that hole. If you fall, sloping pillars inside the room allow you to climb back onto the edge of the wall. The chest is in the small room through that hole, alongside two humanoid skeletons.

== Trivia ==
* Between the launch of the [[Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire|Path of Fire]] expansion (on September 22, 2017 {{verify|did the wall appear exactly at launch?}})<ref>[[Talk:Verarium Delves#Feedback 2017/10/01]]</ref>, and the [[Game updates/2018-01-23#Guild Wars 2 Wiki Notes|January 23, 2018]] game update, access to this jumping puzzle was blocked by an invisible wall. The reason for this is not known.
* The ruins here resemble many other ruins found in the northern half of Sparkfly Fen. Most notably, the [[w:Mesoamerica|Mesoamerican]]-inspired tiles found in Verarium Delves are identical to ones decorating the [[Saltflood Mire]] ruins.
** They also match the tiles found atop the entrance to [[Forsaken Fortune]], as well as throughout that [[mini-dungeon]]. Given that Forsaken Fortune is known to be a [[dwarf|dwarven]] ruin, that may imply a similar origin for these ruins.
