* The altar consists of a "sandwich" of 2 rectangular stones and dozens of human skulls in between. The stones are covered in spilt blood. Both these facts together suggest that human sacrifices were conducted at the altar after the resurging of Orr.
** During the fight against the Bloodstone Shard, light emits from the eye cavities of the skulls.

[[Zhaitan's Last Stand]] marks the location of the tower which [[Zhaitan]] clung onto after its largest tails were cut off, its largest right arm fell off, and its largest right wing was crippled, grounding it. The tower fell with Zhaitan's defeat, following the [[Elder Dragon]]'s own fall through the heavy clouds over [[the Ruined City of Arah|Arah]].

== Getting there ==
This point of interest is only visible during the last step of the personal story, [[Victory or Death]]. It is the location of the final fight with Zhaitan. This point of interest cannot be acquired except by breaking out of the map.

[[Diving]] is an [[activity]] involving jumping from high locations overlooking bodies of water while wearing the [[Diving Goggles]] found in those locations.

== Mechanics ==
The goggles are [[bundle]]s found in over three dozen locations throughout the game. While next to them, you can ''put on'' the goggles, stripping your character of weapons and armor, and replacing their skills with acrobatic moves during the dive. Diving skills will be inactive until you start your jump into the water below. While in the air, you can choose to use the skills. Your normal gear and skills return after a dive (successful or not) or if you leave the area. The goggles will always be available in the same locations and can be used as many times as desired.

== Dive Master achievement ==

There are diving locations in every region of Tyria. The [[Dive Master]] [[Explorer]] [[achievement]] is earned by jumping from all of the 38 required locations while wearing the nearby goggles, using any of your [[character]]s. The locations can be identified by the presence of the diving goggles, which can be more easily seen by holding down the {{key|Left Ctrl}} key while in any high location overlooking water.

[[Taimi's Machine]] is a machine created by [[Taimi]] utilizing critical parts of [[Omadd's Machine]]. The machine was designed to access [[The All]] to manipulate the energies of the [[Elder Dragon]]s, to quickly destroy them without need of armies. Its first purpose, specifically, was to collide [[Primordus]]' and [[Jormag]]'s energies against each other. However, before small-scaled testing with simple dragon minions could occur, [[Balthazar]], under guise as [[Lazarus]], had appeared and stole the machine. He then took the machine to the caldera of [[Titan's Throat]], where Primordus had recently taken up residence, and joined with the machine to manipulate the flow of dragon magic.

In conflict between Balthazar and the [[Pact Commander]], the machine was overloaded, reducing Primordus' energy levels to a pre-awakening state, supposedly doing the same to Jormag, and seemingly destroying Balthazar in the process.
